I went to Dymocks store today. The store now is selling digital books (both audio and e-books) using self service kiosks. Book selection is relatively large and you can get your books as PDF or as audio files in case of audiobooks. Also you can buy there an iPod and other audio players. No e-book reader devices being offered now, so your e-book reading options limited to laptiop, PDA or desktop PC.

I’m not sure what kind of DRM is being used, so I wonder if it is compatible with my Irex Iliad. IT department person at the store told me that in near future they plan to sell Sony Reader and the books could be read on it. Some e-books offered are cheaper than their paper versions at the store, but, in my opinion, Amazon can get you a better price on most of computer books if you willing to wait for delivery.

BTW, store on George St at Sydney now has FREE WiFi hotspot with Internet access.
